Dr. James Holt

Dr. James R. Holt, is an Emeritus Professor of Engineering & Technology Management at Washington State University focusing on practical, systems solutions for: Organizational Behavior, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering Economics, Simulation, Information Systems, Constraints Management and other complex systems. He retired as an Air Force Retired Lieutenant Colonel where he was Department Head, Engineering and Environmental Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University, an MS in Facilities Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. specializing in Industrial Engineering / Business Administration from Texas A&M University. Dr. Holt has taught at the graduate level 30 years and has advised 118 engineering student theses and dissertations on TOC and additional topics. Dr Holt is a Founding Member of TOCICO and served on the Board of Directors for six years and was President in 2009. His home is in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He is happily married to Suzanne celebrating 50 years! They have five children and nine grandchildren. Dr Holt and his wife served as Humanitarian Missionaries for LDS Charities in Czechia and Slovakia (2015-2020).
